“You must go by a way which is the way of ignorance in order to possess what you do not possess.” - T.S. Eliot

Just did an interesting interview with Randall Winston for PMc Magazine which I really enjoyed. Fun to talk about process, fears, limitations, and other artists who I look up to. Also a bit about two of the upcoming films I scored, as well as how my favorite T.S. Eliot quote applies to film composing.

This Sunday afternoon I’ll be on East Village Radio to do the very cool Morricone Youth show with Devon Levins. Devon is dedicating the entire 2-hour show to us, so this may be the most in-depth (and music-heavy) interview yet. We’ll be chatting and listening to a LOT of stuff from Looper as well as selections from my other projects. They’re planning to feature almost an hour of music. Cool, eh? So if you’ve got a chunk of time and want to listen to snippets from the last 10 years of my musical life, tune in!

Well, Looper is finally out today! I’ve been doing a lot of interviews about the scoring process and rather than retweeting them all separately, I thought I’d gather a few together in case you’re interested. Hope you all enjoy the film and the score!

And if you haven’t read it yet, this amazing piece on Entertainment Weekly sees Film Crit Hulk bring his behemoth perspective to the press day that Rian, Joe, Emily, Noah and I had together at this years Comic Con. I love Film Crit Hulk’s writing so much, and it was a real treat to spend some time with him.
