Well, we’re headed to Toronto for the Looper premier, but in the meantime, check out this cue from the soundtrack to The Day I Saw Your Heart (aka Et Soudain Tout Le Monde Me Manque). It has been unavailable in the US for a while, but you can buy it now over on iTunes! Complete with a new Faux Fix song, along with a song I wrote and performed for the movie called Suddenly.
Hey Californians… I know there’s been a lot of excitement about Looper recently, but I wanted to let you know that the Mélanie Laurent film I recently scored is going to be playing at the Newport Beach Film Festival as a part of the French Spotlight event.
I heard recently that it will be distributed in the US but this is an early chance to get out and see it. You may recognize the French title (Et Soudain, Tout Le Monde Me Manque) but the US version will be called The Day I Saw Your Heart.
If you live nearby (I think it is playing at Fashion Island?!!?!), go check it out and let me know what you think! Tuesday, May 01 at 8.15pm.
Suddenly
Here’s the song I wrote and performed for the aforementioned Melanie Laurent film, Et Soudain, Tout Le Monde Me Manque. Strings arranged by Mr. Lux, performed by the wonderful yMusic ensemble.
I just found out that the french film I scored last year will be shown for its New York premier this Saturday (Dec. 3) at a francophone film fest. The movie is called Et Soudain, Tout le Monde me Manque (they’ve re-titled the English version as “The Day I Saw Your Heart”) and it’s by a young French writer/director named Jennifer Devoldere.
I still haven’t seen the final film, and since I’m in LA working on Looper, it looks like I’ll miss this showing as well, but if you’re in the city kicking around, you can get tickets here.
The soundtrack is also available through iTunes worldwide (though not in America), and it features a new original song of mine, as well as an exclusive song by Faux Fix which was produced by Son Lux et moi.
Et Soudain Tout Le Monde Me Manque - official trailer
Mon amie c’est un bibliotheque. Je voudrais un baguette parce que je non culottes en vie en macaron.
Also, I’m unsure about a US release. Maybe we can hope for netflix?
Hey folks, exciting news. My most recent film score is up for sale on iTunes France! It features two new original songs (one performed by Faux Fix), along with arrangements by Ryan Lott (Son Lux) and performances by yMusic and Jonny Rodgers, among others. I’m excited about this film and very proud to be on the album in the company of Nina Simone and Cat Stevens!
At the moment you need a French credit card to buy it (iTunes country restrictions), so this probably only applies to a few of you, but I’ll let you know when the album becomes available worldwide. Also, the film is great, so if you live near a French theater, check it out!
Yes, it is French. The full title is “Et Soudain Tout Le Monde Me Manqué” and this is the first time I’ve scored a film that’s not in my native language:) It’s a great movie directed by Jennifer Devoldère and it stars the amazing Mélanie Laurent. I think it came out in France last week and I’ll post a link once we release the soundtrack stateside.
