Check out the cover that Marke and I made, all cut up! So xcited to hear this when I get back to a computer!Son Lux - We Are Rising REMIXED
Our original artwork, remixed by John Bloor
Hey Californians… I know there’s been a lot of excitement about Looper recently, but I wanted to let you know that the Mélanie Laurent film I recently scored is going to be playing at the Newport Beach Film Festival as a part of the French Spotlight event.
I heard recently that it will be distributed in the US but this is an early chance to get out and see it. You may recognize the French title (Et Soudain, Tout Le Monde Me Manque) but the US version will be called The Day I Saw Your Heart.
If you live nearby (I think it is playing at Fashion Island?!!?!), go check it out and let me know what you think! Tuesday, May 01 at 8.15pm.
Faux Fix - My Antagonist
We’re launching a full tour of Living Room shows this week and we wanted to post the title track from the new record (available at iTunes, bandcamp, Spotify, etc.)
Enjoy!
Check out the title track off the new Faux Fix record, produced by Son Lux and myself, and featuring the string stylings of yMusic. Katie and I wrote this one about two years ago in England at the Living Room B&B with a nod to the cinema of old Europe.
Hope you can come see us on our Living Room Tour this month!!!
Hey folks, check out all the latest offerings from Son Lux this month… and take your own chance to remix the cover artwork we made during the 28-smoke bomb photoshoot!
WE ARE RISING - RE-IMAGINED
(wanna help?)
Well, here we are. March 1. Last year today I was catching my breath, having spent the 28 days of February making We Are Rising. So I’ve spent this February celebrating the anniversary with new live recordings, a video from the studio, releasing instrumentals, and sharing big news of collaborations and even more collaborations.
But while you weren’t looking, I also commissioned a completely diverse and mega-talented group of nine artists to re-imagine the entire album start-to-finish.
Not only that, but I’m now asking YOU and PEOPLE YOU KNOW to get involved.
The good people of The Made Shop, who so brilliantly devised and executed the album artwork, complete with cranes and smoke bombs, have made available the Photoshop file and even some B-roll from the shoot, SO THAT YOU CAN REMIX THE IMAGE (or someone you know can).
HERE is the link to download the goods.
Spread the word and let’s come up with a cover for the remix album!
Faux Fix is proud to present the debut album entitled My Antagonist!
As of today, the album is available worldwide through iTunes, Amazon, and most online stores. Enjoy the first listen of the song “Laboratory Girl” right here!
This particular track was produced by one of our favorite collaborators, Son Lux
Cover design by The Made Shop, Photography by Chris Kuehl, H&MU by Bethany Johnson
Happy Album Release Day!!! (and happy Valentine’s Day. Here’s a good antidote :)
Suddenly
Here’s the song I wrote and performed for the aforementioned Melanie Laurent film, Et Soudain, Tout Le Monde Me Manque. Strings arranged by Mr. Lux, performed by the wonderful yMusic ensemble.
I just found out that the french film I scored last year will be shown for its New York premier this Saturday (Dec. 3) at a francophone film fest. The movie is called Et Soudain, Tout le Monde me Manque (they’ve re-titled the English version as “The Day I Saw Your Heart”) and it’s by a young French writer/director named Jennifer Devoldere.
I still haven’t seen the final film, and since I’m in LA working on Looper, it looks like I’ll miss this showing as well, but if you’re in the city kicking around, you can get tickets here.
The soundtrack is also available through iTunes worldwide (though not in America), and it features a new original song of mine, as well as an exclusive song by Faux Fix which was produced by Son Lux et moi.

Welcome back to My Brightest Diamond and the yMusic crew, seen here performing a great new song.
You can pick up the iTunes single, which comes with a remix by Prefuse 73 and an alternate take by Son Lux as well!
Jonny has been on the road with Son Lux and he’s doing a few solo shows as well. If you haven’t checked out their music, you should. I work with both of these guys all the time and they’re two of my favorite collaborators. Check ‘em out!
